Diwali at the studio !

Apologies for putting up the Diwali pictures so late . Pre-diwali orders and post Diwali vacation has kept us busy for long . Diwali is the time when we use our candles for decorating our studio . Here are some few shots !

We loved this candle arrangement . A lamp in the center filled with our favorite flowers marigold and adorned with candles all around . The contrast of green , yellow and orange is the highlight of this arrangement .

We said " No to crackers " this Diwali . Instead we chose an eco-friendly way . The pretty sky lanterns lit up the sky beautifully . Seeing them rise up the sky was a pure treat .

Trees have the power to change lives. Planting the right trees in the right projects can bring economic sustainability to poor rural communities, as well as provide significant environmental benefits.

Our inspiration comes from Nature. Therefore ,We believe in giving back to the Mother Earth, to the rich community, where we work and produce handmade candles.We strive to produce candles in a mindful manner. Whenever possible, we use natural ingredients for our candles. During the production of candles we constantly ask ourselves how we can be an environmentally and socially responsible member of our community.

We run a Campaign “ Plant a tree” , where we plant new trees for the betterment of the environment.  We distribute free seeds on purchase of our candles so as to encourage people to grow more and more trees in their surroundings.

We use Newspaper bags for our packaging. The idea behind this is to recycle newspapers and save cutting of trees .These bags are made by our workers and money collected from selling these bags goes directly to them.

We are doing our bit to heal the environment. Help us increase awareness about our dependence on trees for survival. Show that you care.

Choosing the right Candle !

We believe that every object a person makes carries a part of their humanity in it , which is why each of our candles carries within it a part of our heart .
Choosing the right candles for your home or event can be more challenging than it may seem.  There are many factors that go into which candle will work best.  Some of the factors are, the environment the candles will be in, the number of candles being used, scented or unscented candles, and length of time the candles need to burn.

Why are you buying the candles?  People buy candles for many different reasons, for decoration, ambiance, to freshen the air, as gifts for birthdays , anniversaries or special occasions.

If the candles are only going to be used for decoration, is it for your home or an event?  Many people purchase candles to use in their homes that they don’t intend to burn. Designer candles are very popular for creating decorative arrangements and centerpieces.  With so many pillar sizes and colors available finding candles to match your home decor is relatively easy.  If you are decorating for an event check with the venue about their rules pertaining to candles.  Some have a strict “no candles” rule.  Others allow candles but require that the candle flame not be higher than the top of the container they are in.  The type of event will determine what style of candle you look for.

If you’re using the candles to freshen the air, the main factor to consider is the size of the room.  Smaller rooms like bathrooms may only need a votive or small pillar candles to freshen the air.  For larger rooms such as living rooms or master bedrooms larger candles like a 6×6 pillar  might be a better choice.  The larger the surface area of the liquid wax the faster the fragrance will be pushed into the air.  Some fragrances are naturally “lighter” than others.  A Vanilla scented candle may not be as noticeable as a Lilac.  Sometimes a subtle fragrance is all that is desired.

Candles can also be given as gifts for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries . You can also get them personalized for weddings or use them as return gifts for your parties .

Container candles are also very popular because they reduce the potential for wax to spill or drip on to the table.  Whatever the reason is for purchasing candles, if you light them make sure to not leave them unattended.

Candles are very attractive in the bedroom if you match the colors of the candle and display to the predominant color in your curtains and bed linen.
