A walk in the woods and being amongst nature is one of the beautiful experience a person can have . My latest visit to the Wildflower Hall shimla was one such experience .
One of the lasting pleasures of a walk in these woods is the call from unsighted birds . While climbing a hill in the Himalaya you may come across numerous wild flowers , half hidden amongst the ferns , some coming out from behind the stones.... which will make your outdoor experience especially rich .
Here is a look at the wild strawberry , the fruit smells wonderful . The plant grows all over the region , hence its called the strawberry trail .
Most significant is the tree of the gods and the pride of the Western Himalaya –the stately deodar.
This is Himalayan birch ... The paper-like bark of the tree was used in ancient times for writing Sanskrit scriptures and texts .
And then we came across Wax flowers growing on a small hill

We have so much natural abundance in the himalayas it makes you wonder how can all of this grow together ... Here is a stem from the eucalyptus tree and it smelled wonderful :)
